The Lion of Venice

Saint Mark’s day just passed few days ago, and we celebrated a lot to honour our Saint patron and protector of Venice.

It may sounds odd to you, but this Saint is incredibly important for this city built on water, and now we will discover why. Celebrating Saint Mark we celebrate also the symbol of Venice: the winged lion! It represents the power and the strength of the Republic, capable to protect it from terrible enemies. It’s also a symbol appreciated by kids, so it’s very popular also as a puppy, that will protect children from the evils of the world while they grow up.
